Korean company wins bid to modernize Dominican Customs

The Korean company AutoEvert System Corp-Interdev won the bid for a US$23 million dollar loan from Korea 's Exim Bank, to modernize Dominican Republic 's Customs Agency (DGA).
DGA director Miguel Cocco and AutoEvert System Corp-Interdev representatives Ig Gyo Kim and See Young Kim signed an agreement to develop a computer system for the customs service.
The process to select the company which would manage the DGA's technological advance lasted almost one year, the government agency said, adding that the US$23 million loan has a 1.7 percent annual interest rate with 7-year grace period.
